Work with Us

Do you have a keen eye for detail and an interest in museum collections?

Our mission is to celebrate and share Royston’s heritage and stories, connecting people and places, past and present, and we’re looking for a Collections Assistant to help us with this.

Working 3 days a week on a one year-fixed term contract, you will work alongside our small team to assist with migrating our catalogue over to a new collections management system, as well as updating and improving the entries in our catalogue.

If you have an interest in collections care and management, gain satisfaction from embedding best practice and possess an eye for detail, then this role is for you. You don’t need to have interest in local history for the role, however it would be beneficial.

Full details about Royston Museum, the role and how to apply can be found in the Collections Assistant Recruitment Pack.

Salary:  £13,8000 per annum (£23,000 FTE)

Normal working hours: 3 days (21 hours) per week with occasional weekdays and evenings. Additional hours will be compensated with time off in lieu.

Contract: This is a 12 month fixed term contract

To apply: please send a CV and covering letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in the role to Emma Canterbury, Museum Manager, at manager@roystonmuseum.org.uk

Closing Date: Monday 11 November at 5pm

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 27 November.
