Uncover some funny, strange and often quite weird folklore tales, legends, traditions and sayings, which surround Royston & it’s surrounding district.


Part of the regional Traditional Hertfordshire Project, funded by the Heritage Lottery.

Royston Museum is proud to hold a significant collection of works by local artist E.H. Whydale, who during his career exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy. This exhibition charts Whydale’s life and career, and his close connections with Royston and its surrounding district.


This is a great opportunity to see a selection of the Museum’s Whydale collection which is usually in storage.
